As an award(s) winning artist-anatomist, I am blah blah blah... never mind, I m still asking my students how to learn anatomy.
A PhD in Clinical Anatomy from Otago, New Zealand, I m now creating 3D digital and print models to help learn anatomy.
Both recurrent laryngeal nerves can be injured during thyroid surgeries (surgeons have a cool name for it- COMPLICATIONS!)
But which nerve is more at risk?
Histology is boring, be it on paper, slides, or 3D. I tried it in Virtual Reality, it is still boring :)
The more I learn, the more I am confused. No worries, let us start with this simple schematics for neuroanatomy, in 3D
My new 3D animation of the spinal cord pathways.
A venipuncture on my hand, oops, that should hurt, but not in VR
Sick of the digital 3D material? Get back to old school. It is not that difficult!

I leave the dissecting room with unanswered questions in mind. As a night owl, I explore all historical textbooks to find the one haunting answer (or just eat and sleep). But if you have a doubt, post it here to seek answers from clinical anatomists around the globe (or just me!)
